For 2022 This Is the Only Thing I Want…

What a year it has been. Nothing about these past two years has been normal. We started this year in isolation and with this new Omicron variant, it looks like we’ll be ending it the same way. On this day last year much of the world was still closed down. The NYC streets were empty. I was working from home, home schooling Avarie and Alexah and trying to normalize very unnormal times. There is nothing normal about living isolated and separated from the world. Yet, that had been much of our lives for most of 2020.

This year with the developments of the vaccines and the push to get everyone vaccinated we saw the world start to open back up. We were able to resume living our lives, albeit masked up and practicing social distancing. We were able to spend time with our loved ones again. We were able to go out to dinner, go to the beach, have backyard barbecues, attend high school graduations, travel, go back into the office, hug loved ones, properly bury and mourn our loved ones, and resume many of the things we weren’t able to do in 2020 and had always taken for granted.

Every year I set goals centered on the things I want to have and accomplish. Most of my goals include material things I want to attain like a new home, publishing a book picked up by one of the major publishing houses, or financial goals like pay down debt and earn more money. Those were…
